RISE Instructor: Angie Nelson Wolenetz, M.Ed, CTRI, ESMHL, & riding coach

“Ever since I was a little girl horses just made me smile! Even now as an adult, if I am having a rough day, there is something about being around horses -and donkeys! -that brings a smile to my face and brightens my day! I’ve seen them have this effect on so many others over the years as well. I hope you will come join me in the arena and find out for yourself!”

Angie is a PATH International certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning as well as a PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. Angie has traveled and worked in the equestrian field in Australia as well and is certified as a general riding coach through Equestrian Australia. In addition, Angie holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Education, and has a natural and easy-to-understand way of teaching. Angie has been a student of natural horsemanship for many years and has learned from the work of trainers such as Pat Parelli, Stacy Westfall, Mark Rashid, Monty Roberts, Buck Branaman and many more. Angie is a learner as well, and wants to always be engaged in the process of becoming her best self for others and for the horses.

Angie has personally experienced the amazing innate ability horses have to help humans heal. Work with horses can help instill leadership, confidence, compassion, empathy, emotional and social intelligence, and a general sense of well-being in humans.

It is central to Angie's teaching that all her lessons be mutually beneficial to both species - that is - both horses and humans should benefit from the time spent together!
